This is the AACA race vehicle badge that is affixed to the car. Later I will make a bracket to mount it under the dash along with the National Junior First award I won at Eastern National Meet. Class 24A for race cars has had a few historic hot rods in the past. There is a very heated discussion taking place in 2004 regarding a new Class for Historic Hot Rods ( Class 37 ) There are many arguments for and against. Old Cars Weekly " Sound Your Horn" letters to the editor has been documenting the debate including letters from irate AACA members and hot rod notables such as Ken Gross and Brock Yates. Incidentally the new Executive Director of the AACA, Steve Moskowitz, used to live in Crown Point, IN.
